OZZY OSBOURNE To Undergo Another Hand Procedure Today; 'He's So Upset,' Says SHARON

Ozzy Osbourne will undergo another surgery today (Friday, October 12) for an infection in his right hand.

On Thursday, the BLACK SABBATH singer — who was forced to postpone four West Coast shows due to last weekend's surgery complications — announced that the concerts will be rescheduled at a later date in 2019.

Earlier today, Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon Osbourne spoke about Ozzy's condition during CBS's "The Talk". She said: "Yeah, it's so sad for him. In this portion of his tour, he had four shows left to do in California, but his hand still hasn't healed. And it's one of these things that every day, they go, 'no. Tomorrow you're gonna be fine. La la la.' It hasn't been fine. And, in fact, he's going into hospital today; he's gonna have another procedure done on his hand. And so, we didn't wanna keep canceling them — change it again, change it again — so we just said, 'Okay, let's cancel these four shows,' and they're all gonna be rescheduled. He will perform."

She added: "He's so upset. He feels he's let down his audience, but I hope that everyone understands, and he's gonna be back."

After Ozzy underwent hand surgery at Los Angeles's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Saturday, Sharon said that the legendary heavy metal frontman "had a little cut on his thumb. You know when you pull the side of your nail and he just left it," she said. And then he hit it on a door. It started to get bigger and bigger, and then his middle finger, the same thing happened … and Saturday morning we took him into the emergency room and what had happened from a tiny thing here on the side of his nail, it had turned into two different infections in his hand."

She continued: "He had to have this operation where they cut the side of his thumb and this [middle] finger and they had to get rid of the infection. It's been from something you think is absolutely nothing. It's unbelievable."

All four shows are part of Osbourne's "No More Tours 2", a trek billed as the 69-year-old singer's official farewell to more than five decades of touring.

"I'm so fucking bummed about canceling these shows," Ozzy said in a press release. "The tour had been going great and we were really looking forward to these last few gigs. We're hoping everyone will be patient and we'll look forward to seeing them at the shows next year."

Ticketholders for the four shows should hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds are also available at point of purchase.

Osbourne is scheduled to perform in Europe and Australia in February and March of next year.

"No More Tours 2" is a reference to Ozzy's 1992 "No More Tours" trek, which marked the first time the singer announced the end of his days as a touring artist. The tour name was a pun based on the title of his then-most recent solo album, "No More Tears". Ozzy returned to action three years later and has been on the road ever since.

Last year, Ozzy reunited with guitarist Zakk Wylde, who played on studio albums such as "No Rest For The Wicked", "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis" and who has toured on and off with Ozzy for nearly thirty years.
